Debbie Bermudez has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Debbie began their career in 1981 with Federated Department Stores, where they completed a management training program and eventually became a Department Manager. In 1986, they transitioned to the childcare sector and worked as a Director at the Rosslyn Children's Center. Debbie continued to excel in this field and became the Director of Early Childhood Program at Mt. Sinai Hospital in 1992. Debbie then joined The Children's Aid Society as an Education Director in 1995, where they oversaw various programs and maintained full enrollment. In 2000, Debbie took on the role of Division Vice President of Operations at Bright Horizons and successfully managed operations throughout their tenure until 2014. Debbie later served as a District Manager at KinderCare Education from 2015 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Director at Imagine Early Learning Centers since December 2019 and was recently promoted to Vice President in April 2022.

Debbie Bermudez pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education/Educational Psychology at SUNY Oneonta from 1976 to 1978. Following this, they enrolled at Hunter College and earned their Master of Science (MS) degree in Education from 1994 to 1996.
