Julian Alderson

Julian Alderson is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in public policy consulting and analysis. At Compass Lexecon since October 2021, Julian has held roles as an Economist, Senior Analyst, and Analyst. Prior to this, Julian interned at Economist Impact, focusing on public policy consulting. Julian served as a Fellows Ambassador at the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago and contributed as an IOP Summer Fellow at The Soufan Center, where analyses on macroeconomic policy were authored and internal data processes enhanced. As a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Harris Cyber Policy Initiative, Julian investigated election security vulnerabilities across U.S. voting systems. Earlier experiences include analyst roles at Overseas Strategic Consulting and a summer internship at P3 Publishing, where funding proposals for youth writing awards were drafted. Julian holds a Master of Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Persian from the University of St Andrews.
