Fotima Alizoda is an experienced attorney currently working at the Immigrant Legal Center since November 2021. Prior to this role, Fotima gained valuable experience as a Trust & Safety CW at LinkedIn for one year and as a BSA/AML Investigator at Bank of the West. Fotima also served as a Law Clerk at the Douglas County Attorneys Office and completed a summer internship at the 7th Army Training Command. Additional work experience includes acting as a Victim Advocate at the Douglas County Victim Assistance Unit and serving as a Broadcast Journalist and Interpreter at Tajik National Television. Fotima holds a Juris Degree from Creighton University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Immigrant Legal Center continues to assist low-income immigrant individuals and families in Nebraska and southwestern Iowa with free, high-quality immigration legal services, education, and advocacy. The legal team assists immigrants of all faiths, ethnicities, abilities, and ages, with a focus on the most vulnerable—victims of domestic violence,children who have been abused or abandoned, and those who would face persecution if they returned to the nation they fled.
