Darren Raymond

Darren Raymond has extensive experience in safety and health management within the mining industry, currently serving as the Environment Health and Safety Manager at Compass Minerals since March 2019. Prior positions include Safety Health and Training Superintendent at Barrick Gold Corporation, where responsibilities included safety management at the Hemlo/Williams Mine, and Safety Health and Risk Manager for De Beers Canada, overseeing operations at Snap Lake Mine and Gahcho Kue. Darren's early career at De Beers Canada involved various roles focused on safety coordination, training, and logistics, beginning as Site Supervisor and progressing to Logistics Coordinator. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Health and Safety from the University of Fredericton, a degree in Global Minerals Industry Risk Management from Laurentian University, and a Certificate of Safety Officer from the Alberta Construction Safety Association.
