Ian Chia, Ph.D.

Ian Chia, Ph.D. has held a variety of positions since 2005. Ian began their career as a Consultant for Managing Resources in 2005, and then moved on to become a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University Medical Center in 2006. In 2011, they joined Harris & Harris Group, Inc. as an Associate. In 2013, they became a Board Observer for both Ensemble Therapeutics Corporation and Mersana Therapeutics. In 2015, they were an Associate Director of Business Development for Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and a Consultant for ProMuc. Ian currently holds the positions of Director of Business Development and Senior Director of Business Development & Strategy at Compass Therapeutics LLC, which they joined in 2018.

Ian Chia, Ph.D. received their B.Sc.(First Class Hons) in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University. Ian then went on to pursue a M.Phil. in Management from the University of Cambridge. Afterwards, they earned their M.A. and M.Phil. in Genetics and Developmental Biology from Columbia University, followed by their Ph.D. in Genetics and Developmental Biology from the same institution.
