Kelsey Michael, PhD, currently serves as the Storyteller Program Manager at Compassion & Choices since October 2021. Prior to this role, Kelsey worked at the University of Maryland from August 2015 to December 2021 as a Graduate Researcher, Scholar, and Instructor, focusing on an ethnographic dissertation and teaching an interdisciplinary course on Popular Culture in America. Kelsey has held various positions including Flagship Fellow and Grant Reviewer for HumanitiesDC, Conference Coordinator for the American Studies Association, and Communications Assistant for Visit Alexandria. With a strong background in digital media and public humanities, Kelsey has also contributed as an Assistant Producer for the Southern Foodways Alliance and has experience in multimedia production with the Smithsonian Institution. Kelsey holds a PhD in American Studies from the University of Maryland and a Master's in Folklore from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in English from Harding University.
