Philip Katz

Philip Katz currently serves as Manager of Asset Management at Competitive Power Ventures, where responsibilities include acting as "owner's representative" for a 152 MW wind farm and two 2x1 Combined Cycle facilities, with oversight of NERC, EIA compliance, and contractual and permit compliance for a fleet of over 10 projects totaling more than 7 GW. Previously, Philip held positions as Senior Associate and Associate Asset Manager. Philip also led the University of Rochester Baja SAE team as President, where leadership involved designing and building a one-person off-road vehicle and overseeing a team of over 20 students. Prior to that, Philip worked as a Teaching Assistant at the River Campus Instrument Machine Shop and gained experience as an Assistant Machinist at ACME INDUSTRIAL, Inc. Philip holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
