Michael Schapira

Michael Schapira is the Chief Scientist and Co-Founder at Compira Labs. Michael was previously a Visiting Scientist at Google NYC, an Associate Professor at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a Senior Lecturer at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Princeton University. Prior to that, they were an Algorithm Designer at BrightSource Industries Israel (formerly Luz2), a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley and Yale University, and an Intern at Microsoft Research. Michael also served in the IDF from 1997 to 2001.

Michael Schapira received a PhD in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Michael also attended The Hebrew Reali School.

Michael Schapira reports to Amit Cohen, CEO & Founder. They are on a team with Lev Gloukhenki - VP, R&D, Ravid Hadar - VP, Product, and Guy Bauman - President.
