Senior Director, Industry Education at CompTIA

Stephanie Morgan, PhD., CPTD has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and organizations. Stephanie currently holds the position of Senior Director, Industry Education at CompTIA, which they began in 2022. In this role, they oversee learning programs for CompTIA's membership and leads the development of special educational projects. Prior to joining CompTIA, Stephanie served as Vice President of Education and Training at CSAA International, where they oversaw the development and implementation of education and training programs. Additionally, they worked at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Continuing Education Instructor and Senior Teaching Fellow, teaching various literature and writing courses. Stephanie also has experience in instructional technology and research. Stephanie has previously held the position of Chair, Department of General Education at South College - Asheville, where they were involved in curriculum development and faculty development. Stephanie has also served as Co-Chair at the Feminist Workshop, CCCC.

Stephanie Morgan, PhD., CPTD completed their education at various institutions. Stephanie earned their PhD in Rhetoric and Composition; Rhetoric and Technology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2004 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's degree in 20th Century American Literature from the same university from 2001 to 2004. Stephanie also pursued their undergraduate studies at Duke University from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained an A.B. in English and Women's Studies. Their secondary education was completed at H. B. Plant High School from 1990 to 1994. Additionally, Stephanie has acquired several certifications, including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in 2023, the Strategic Leadership certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in 2022, the Consulting Skills Certificate from ATD in 2019, the From Ideas to Actions certificate from IDEO U in 2017, the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) from ATD in 2017, and the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification from CompTIA in 2015.
