Justin Krause

Justin Krause has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Justin began their career in 2010 as a Lifeguard at the Collinsville Area Recreation District, where they developed skills in CPR and ensuring the safety of park patrons. In 2011, they worked as a Crew Trainer at McDonald's Corporation, honing their communication, problem-solving, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

In 2014, Justin gained experience as a Microsoft Consultant at Best Buy, where they informed customers about Microsoft products and contributed to the sales team. Justin also interned at DISA, where they served as a Contract Closeout Intern, responsible for reconciling IT/Telecom contracts, and as a Telecommunications/Tech Support Intern, supporting the workplace with telephone number transfers and setting up video conference calls.

In 2016, Justin worked as a Help Desk Analyst at Anchor Packaging, providing technical assistance through phone, email, and help desk management system. Justin then moved on to Computer World Services Corp. (CWS), starting as a Senior Helpdesk Specialist and handling hardware, software, networking, and server troubleshooting for approximately 1,000 users. Justin later advanced to the role of Network Engineer, where they provided engineering and technical expertise on telecommunications networks/information systems within the DISN. Currently, they hold the position of Network Engineer Intermediate, where they assist in network development, operation, and management, conducting performance analysis and evaluating configuration options.

Throughout their career, Justin has demonstrated their ability to excel in technical roles, develop strong problem-solving and communication skills, and adapt to diverse work environments.

Justin Krause received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in the years 2011 to 2015. During this time, they also took general classes at both Lewis and Clark Community College (2014-2015) and Southwestern Illinois College (2012-2015). In terms of additional certifications, Justin obtained the TestOut Security Pro and TestOut Network Pro certifications from TestOut Corporation in May 2015 and April 2015, respectively. Justin also obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in November 2016.
