Istvan Dekany

Istvan Dekany is a Machine Learning Scientist at Computomics, where innovation in machine-learning research focuses on predicting complex agronomical plant traits using genomic, meteorological, geospatial, and climate model data to develop climate-resilient crop varieties. Previously, Istvan contributed to developing AI solutions for breast cancer diagnostics at Unilabs Sweden and conducted postdoctoral research at Universität Heidelberg and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, enhancing the understanding of the Milky Way through data-driven analyses. Istvan's career began with research assistance at the Konkoly Observatory and a visiting PhD student position at the University of Vienna. Istvan holds a PhD in Physics and a Master's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Eötvös Loránd University.
