Vandy Hopson

Vandy Hopson, CCME, has over 20 years of experience in contracts and compliance management. They started their career as a Contracts/Business Manager at L3 Technologies in 1999 and worked there for six years. After that, they held roles as Contracts Manager at Microturbo (SAFRAN Group) and ATK.

In 2007, Hopson joined L3 Technologies again, this time as a Contracts Manager & Export Compliance Coordinator. They provided contract management and support for multiple high-value programs and served on Proposal Development Teams.

Hopson then worked at Rio Tinto as a Senior Manager of Contracts & Regulatory Affairs / Empowered Official from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Elbit Systems of America as the Senior Manager of Contracts for Airborne and RCEVS Programs.

From 2016 to 2020, Hopson worked at American Airlines as the Senior Manager of Government Contracts in the Legal Department. They oversaw compliance and bid & proposal activities for government contracts and supported the Business Ethics & Compliance program.

In 2020, Hopson joined Leonardo DRS as the Manager of Contracts & Compliance. They were responsible for contract lifecycle management, specifically for DoD and NASA programs.

Currently, Hopson holds the position of Senior Director of Contracts at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. and is responsible for managing contracts in this role.

Vandy Hopson, CCME, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Tougaloo College. They have also completed coursework towards an MBA at New York Institute of Technology. In addition, Vandy has pursued studies in Business Administration at Southeastern Louisiana University and obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Business from East Central Community College. They completed their high school education, receiving a diploma from Philadelphia High School in Mississippi. Vandy Hopson also holds a certification as a CONTRACT AND COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT EXPERT, obtained in 2016 from the World Commerce & Contracting institution.
