Controls Engineer at Concept Systems

Dylan Wangrud began their work experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at DMT Clear Gas Solutions in July 2019. Dylan focused on Power Engineering, I/O List, oil and gas safety, NFPA safety, and UL rated products. Dylan conducted extensive research on UL/CSA certified parts and replaced parts that were out of specification. In December 2016, Dylan started working as a Professional Driver at Uber, a role they held until June 2020. In June 2020, they joined Jacobs as an Entry Level Electrical Engineer, working as an Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on Data Center Design. Their responsibilities included design work within Revit and SKM Power Tools, performing Neher-McGrath Calculations using AmpCalc from CalcWare, and conducting Short Circuit and Arc Flash studies. Dylan also specialized in training other engineers and maintaining knowledge on Power Systems Protection Schemes. Dylan transitioned to a new role within Jacobs in June 2021, still as an Electrical Engineer, with the same responsibilities. In January 2022, Dylan joined Concept Systems Inc. as a Software Engineer. After eight months, in August 2022, they moved into the role of Controls Engineer within the same company. The end dates for their most recent roles are not specified.

Dylan Wangrud obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Portland State University, where they studied from 2018 to 2021. Dylan then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, starting in 2022 and expected to complete in 2025.

In addition to their formal education, Dylan Wangrud also obtained a certification in HAZWOPER40HR from 360training.com in August 2019.
