Jim Mutton

Associate Executive Director Of NYC Program Operations at Concern Housing

Jim Mutton has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jim started their career as a Ward Worker at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in 1989 before moving on to work as a Rehab Worker at the United Nations International. In 1990, they became a Case Manager at Urban Pathways, Inc., where they provided intensive case management and counseling to a caseload of up to twenty clients. Jim then progressed to the role of Senior Case Manager at the same organization, where they conducted individual counseling and case management for mentally ill and substance-abusing individuals.

In 1998, Jim joined Project Renewal, Inc. as a Program Coordinator and later became the Clinical Director and Director of Residential Services. In these roles, they supervised various programs and oversaw personnel, conducted continuous needs assessments, and ensured compliance with regulations. Jim also facilitated program development and provided statistical and fiscal reporting.

Jim's experience also includes working at St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital Center as a Social Work Supervisor, where they coordinated wellness and preventative care services at an outpatient clinic.

Most recently, Jim worked at Concern Housing as the Director of NYC Operations before being promoted to the role of Associate Executive Director of NYC Program Operations in 2022.

Jim Mutton completed their education at two different institutions. From 1985 to 1988, they attended Kingston University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Applied Social Science. Later, from 1993 to 1996, they enrolled at Hunter College School of Social Work, earning a Master of Social Work degree through their OYR program.

They are housing agencies of this type in the community, currently assisting those who are homeless in and around the region.
