Karen Nelson

Karen Nelson has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. From 2004 until present, they have worked at Concurrent Technologies Corporation as the Principal Director. In this role, Karen oversees the Arlington, VA office and manages all programs and human resources. Karen is responsible for a team of 18+ employees and has successfully grown the office's annual revenue to over $20 million. Additionally, they manage Technology Transfer and safety and occupational health programs for the Department of Defense.

Prior to their current position, Karen worked at Unisphere for 10 years, from 1994 to 2004, as the Director of Operations. Throughout this role, they were responsible for overseeing operations within the company.

In 2004, Karen briefly held the position of Principal Manager at CTC before transitioning into their current role as the Principal Director.

Karen Nelson earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Social Science from James Madison University between 1987 and 1991. Karen then pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University from 1993 to 1995. Finally, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgetown University from 2004 to 2006.
