Thomas Archambault

Thomas Archambault has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Thomas is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Concurrent Technologies Corporation since February 2021. Previously, they worked at Corelight, Inc as a Linux Systems Software Engineer from September 2019 to June 2020. Thomas was responsible for maintaining and optimizing the custom embedded Linux Sensor platform that supports the open-source Zeek network security suite.

Thomas also has experience working as a Principal Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation from November 2014 to September 2019. During this time, they developed, maintained, and supported communication middleware for a distributed simulator/trainer, using technologies such as C/C++, Bash, Python, Linux, client/server sockets, HLA middleware, and CORBA. Thomas also initiated and implemented overnight build systems and a scriptable middleware interfacing utility suite.

Before that, Thomas worked as a Software Engineer at Vision Systems Inc in March 2014 to May 2014, where they designed and implemented Windows and Debian installer utilities for computer vision products, utilizing Python, CMake/CPack, and WiX Tools. Thomas also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at KVH Industries Inc from December 2012 to November 2013.

Thomas has also held positions at Wind River, Eagle Electric Engineering Enterprise, Etnus/Totalview Technologies, and Panasonic, Speech Technology Labs, where they gained experience in roles such as Simics Support Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Customer Support Engineer, and Research Engineer.

Thomas Archambault has a diverse education history. Thomas obtained an MS degree in Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara between 1992 and 1996. Prior to that, they received a Certificate in Music Performance from Musicians Institute in 1984-1985. Earlier in their academic journey, from 1981 to 1983, they pursued a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. Before attending the University of Rhode Island, Thomas completed an AS degree in Engineering from the Community College of Rhode Island from 1979 to 1981.
