Janja Avbelj

Janja Avbelj has a diverse work experience in the field of image navigation and registration engineering, research, and hyperspectral images. Janja worked as an Image Navigation & Registration Engineer at EUMETSAT from October 2018 to the present. Before that, they served as a Junior Image Navigation & Registration Engineer at the same company from September 2016 to September 2018. Janja also worked at DLR as a Research Staff from October 2014 to September 2016, where they focused on automatic image processing, operating in-flight cameras, and researching hyperspectral images. Prior to that, they worked as a PhD Candidate at DLR from November 2013 to October 2014. Janja started their career at Technische Universität München, where they worked as a PhD Candidate and Research Collaborator from November 2010 to October 2013.

Janja Avbelj earned a Master's Degree in Geodetic Engineering from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy from 2005 to 2010. Janja then went on to pursue a Dr.-Ing. degree in Remote Sensing and Image processing from the Technical University of Munich.
