Thang Tran has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of microprocessor architecture and engineering. Thang is currently the CTO of Condor Computing Corporation, where they are leading the development of a revolutionary OOO superscalar microprocessor. Prior to this, Thang worked as an Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University School of Engineering. Thang also served as a Principal Engineer at Andes Technology Corporation and Synopsys, where they contributed to the design and architecture of microprocessors. Thang has also held prominent roles as Chief Microprocessor Architect at Freescale Semiconductor and Senior Microprocessor Architect & Manager at Texas Instruments. Throughout their career, Thang has made significant contributions to the field, including 10+ patent applications and leading the development of advanced microprocessor features.

Thang Tran holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, obtained from 1977 to 1992. Additionally, Thang Tran earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from St. Edward's University, completed in 1985. Thang Tran is also a member of the RISC-V Forum 2021: Vector & Machine Learning Program Committee, certified by The Linux Foundation.
