Brian Hinds has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Brian started their career in 2004 as an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician at West Indies Synthetic Company, where they selected, aligned, and secured molds and accessories onto machines. Brian then moved to West Indies Synthetics Company as a Plant Technician, where they performed maintenance, analyzed test data, and modified circuitry.
In 2008, Brian joined Research In Motion as a Quality Assurance Inspector, grading, classifying, and sorting products for shipment. Brian later became an Electronic Assembler, assembling devices and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Brian worked as a Software Support Technician at Conestoga College from 2017 to 2019, providing technical assistance to users and supporting software applications. Brian then joined Grand River Hospital as a Help Desk Analyst, guiding users through software solutions and troubleshooting computer systems.
In 2011, Brian founded Computer Universal Technology Systems, specializing in software design, development, and deployment. Their services included software requirement documentation, game design, database maintenance, and custom computer builds.
Currently, Brian is an Endpoint Operation Technician at Conestoga College.
Brian Hinds completed their education in a chronological manner. Brian attended McGrath Comprehensive High from 1995 to 2000, where they obtained a Certificate in Electricity/Electronics, Art & Craft, and Information Technology. Following that, from 2000 to 2003, they attended the National Tools and Engineering Institute and earned a Level III NCTEVT Certificate in Electromechanical. Finally, from 2014 to 2019, Brian studied at Conestoga College, where they attained an Advance Diploma in Software Engineering Technology.
