Sherri Tryon-Hughes has extensive work experience in various roles. Sherri started their career in 1988 as a Community Development/Crime Prevention Coordinator at the John Howard Society of Waterloo-Wellington. In 1999, they joined Conestoga College where they initially served as a Manager and later assumed the role of Associate Director. As the Associate Director, they were responsible for delivering high-quality co-operative education and employment services through the Conestoga Career Centre. Sherri also ensured effective and efficient delivery of services to students, graduates, alumni, job seekers, and employers. Sherri demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by collaborating with college leadership and implementing solutions to improve satisfaction levels for students, job seekers, and employers.
Sherri Tryon-Hughes obtained their Bachelor's degree in Social Work/Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, where they attended from 1987 to 1990. Prior to that, they studied law at Mohawk College from 1985 to 1987.
