Abin Das

Abin Das is a Professor at the School of Engineering, Technology and Trades at Confederation College since August 2013, specializing in teaching and course development in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mining Engineering Techniques, Effective Supervision, and Occupational Health and Safety. Prior to this role, Abin Das worked as an Exploration Geologist with Rockex Mining Corporation, MetalCorp, and Pierre Gagne Contracting, conducting scientific research on mineral potential evaluation in Northern Ontario. Abin Das has presented research findings at several prestigious conferences, including the Goldschmidt Conference and the American Geophysical Union. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Radio Isotope Geochemistry and U-Pb Geochronology from the University of Toronto, a Master of Science in Radioisotope Geochemistry from the University of Toronto, and another Master of Science in Geophysics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
