Kim Vares

Kim Vares has extensive experience in governance and community services, currently serving as a Governor at Confederation College since September 2021 and as Chair of the Board of Directors at FIREFLY since June 2019. Previously, Kim held various leadership roles at the Dryden Regional Health Centre, including a lengthy tenure culminating in retirement in September 2021. Kim's prior experience includes significant contributions to the Ontario Library Association and the Ontario Library Boards' Association, where leadership positions included President and Governance Review Committee Member. With a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and additional management training from the Rotman School of Management, Kim brings a strong background in stakeholder engagement, public relations, and community service.
