Janine Cravo

Janine Cravo has extensive experience in biomedical sciences, currently serving as a Product Application Specialist at Confocal.nl since April 2023. Janine has been a PhD student and Marie Curie ESR at Utrecht University since April 2016, focusing on the effects of epithelial architecture on stem cell behavior. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at IPATIMUP, where Janine investigated E-cadherin loss-of-function in relation to Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer, and as a Master intern at Universidade do Algarve, characterizing the chicken Hairy-1 protein. Earlier research as a trainee at the Centre for Marine and Environmental Research involved analyzing DNA damage in newborns in relation to heavy metal exposure. Janine holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade do Algarve.
