Ajay Lakhani

Ajay Lakhani is currently the Head of Engineering at Congenica, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Engineering, Storage and Distribution at A.P. Moller - Maersk from April 2021 to November 2022. From 2018 to 2021, Ajay was the Head of Engineering, MarTech (Merchandising) at Expedia Group, where they managed a team of 40+ engineers and delivered Expedia's promotion and recommendation platform. Before that, they held various management roles at Expedia Group, including Senior Engineering Manager, Retail; Engineering Manager, Checkout; Senior Technology Lead; and Senior Software Engineer.

Prior to their time at Expedia Group, Ajay worked as a Software Consultant at Novell from July 2007 to February 2009, where they led a team of 6 engineers and delivered the policy-management modules of Novell's network management product, ZENworks. Ajay also worked as an Architect at Cognizant from November 2006 to June 2007, where they were responsible for developing enterprise search capabilities.

Ajay Lakhani has additional work experience as a Principal Software Engineer at ArisGlobal Pvt. Ltd from July 2004 to September 2005, a Senior Software Engineer at AWPL - Automated Workflow Private Limited from February 2003 to July 2004, and a Software Engineer at ITTI PVT LTD from August 2000 to September 2002.

Ajay Lakhani obtained a Masters Degree in Computer Science from The University of Sheffield from 2005 to 2006. In 2017, they attended the University of Oxford, Department for Continuing Education, where they engaged in a course on Leadership. Additionally, in April 2018, they obtained a certification in "Managing the Company of the Future" from Coursera.
