Wawrzyniec Niewodniczański

Wawrzyniec Niewodniczański has extensive experience in the field of DevOps and infrastructure management. Wawrzyniec is currently working as the Head of DevOps at Congenica since September 2021.

Prior to this, they worked as a self-employed Open Source specialist, starting from August 2007. During this time, they specialized in open source technologies and provided expertise in this area.

From October 2016 to September 2021, Wawrzyniec worked at R3, where they held various roles. Wawrzyniec started as a DevOps Engineer, where they were responsible for preparing the infrastructure for test networks of open source DLTs (Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric). Wawrzyniec also supported collaborative experiments and tests using technologies like Hyperledger Sawtooth, Chain, Ripple, and Eris. Additionally, they administered R3's Azure estate and helped set up CI/CD for the Corda platform.

Later, at R3, Wawrzyniec became the Infrastructure Lead in QA, where they led the DevOps team in the Corda core engineering division. In this role, they managed work planning, led SCRUM, mentored team members, and developed hiring plans. Wawrzyniec also played a key role in building a team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Corda Network.

Prior to R3, Wawrzyniec worked as a Cloud Engineer at RhythmOne and as a Site Reliability Engineer at Mimecast. Wawrzyniec also held roles as a Systems Administrator at zeebox, System Administrator at Citrix Systems, and Lead SysAdmin at CamTechNet. In addition, they worked as a Systems (Unix) Administrator at Booking.com, and as a Product Support Engineer at the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre.

Throughout their career, Wawrzyniec has demonstrated expertise in infrastructure management, monitoring systems, scripting, and open source technologies.

Wawrzyniec Niewodniczański pursued their education in a chronological manner. Wawrzyniec started by attending the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Engineering with a specialization in Molecular Engineering. Following this, they continued their education at the same institution from 2002 to 2008 and earned a PhD in Quantum Chemistry.

In addition to their formal education, Wawrzyniec Niewodniczański has also obtained certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In 2019, they completed the Cryptography I course offered by Coursera. Furthermore, in 2021, they obtained a Corda Certified Developer certification from R3.
