Marybeth Seitz-Brown

Marybeth Seitz-Brown is an experienced organizer currently serving at the Congress of Connecticut Community Colleges (4Cs) since August 2023. Prior to this role, Marybeth worked as an organizer at SEIU 1199NE, where efforts focused on uniting nursing home workers across Connecticut. From November 2017 to June 2022, Marybeth held the position of Senior Organizer at The NewsGuild of New York, leading external organizing and contract campaigns, and temporarily serving as the Interim Organizing Director. Marybeth's earlier experience includes a role as Senior Program Associate at the Roosevelt Institute, contributing to research on economic topics, and serving as Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, where responsibilities included management of the executive office and fundraising efforts. Marybeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Columbia University and a Master's in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
