Kaylee Nielson is currently a Research Assistant in the Health Analysis Division of the Congressional Budget Office, where projects include mental health workforce analysis and policy options for the Health Insurance Trust Fund. Previously, Kaylee participated in the American Economics Association Summer Program at Howard University, focusing on graduate-level economics and independent research related to Dobbs v. Jackson. An internship with the Council of Economic Advisers at The White House involved supporting the labor team through data analysis and literature reviews. Additional experience includes independent contracting at Perkins School for the Blind, internships at the U.S. Department of Commerce and Perkins School for the Blind, as well as contributing articles to Ahwatukee Foothills News during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kaylee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English from Wellesley College and studied at The University of Edinburgh.
