Nick Carmont

CTO & Co-founder at Connect Earth

Nick Carmont has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2017, they worked as a Full-stack Developer at One Cherry Ltd. Nick then joined PwC in 2018 as part of their Young Talents Program. In the same year, they founded FitPic AI, where they served as a Founder and Machine Learning Engineer. Nick also interned at Nike as a Software Engineering Intern and received the UC Berkeley Startup Fellowship Award during their time at FitPic AI. In 2019, Nick co-founded NetZero App and assumed the role of Co-founder and CTO. Nick was also selected as a Clinton Fellow at the Clinton Global Initiative. In 2020, Nick worked as a Software Engineer at Amazon, contributing to the launch of features with global impact. Currently, Nick is the Co-founder and CTO of Connect Earth, a London-based environmental data company that aims to empower individuals to make sustainable choices and drive sustainable finance.

Nick Carmont has a Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence & Software Engineering from The University of Edinburgh. Nick also participated in an Exchange Abroad Program for their third year of undergraduate studies at the University of California San Diego, where they focused on Computer Science and Engineering.

In 2018 and 2019, Nick attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they completed the Cal Hacks Startup Fellowship. However, the field of study for this fellowship is not specified.

In terms of additional certifications, Nick obtained a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute in April 2023. Nick also holds an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), acquired in February 2023.
