Richard Pell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Richard started their career as a Rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist at Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust in 2008. In 2009, they joined Connect Health as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and held various positions within the company, including MSK Physiotherapy Team Leader and Service Manager. Richard also served as the Head of Operations Shared Services and Head of Service Transition (NHS Services) on an interim basis. In 2019, Richard became the Head of NHS Service Development and Campaign Director for "Flippin' Pain" at Connect Health. In 2021, they took on the role of Member Board of Trustees at Pain Concern.
Richard Pell earned a 2:1 BSc(Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science from Loughborough University between 2002 and 2005. From 2013 to 2015, they attended The Manchester Metropolitan University where they obtained a PGCert in Advanced Physiotherapy Practice with a specialization in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Prior to that, between 2005 and 2008, they studied at Northumbria University and graduated with a 1:1 BSc Hons in Physiotherapy.
