Nick Talbot

Nick Talbot serves as the Service Design Lead at Connected Places Catapult, focusing on systemic issues related to cities, transport, and climate change since November 2022. As a consultant with Basis since February 2019, Nick has engaged in public service transformation and strategy design sprints. Prior experience includes Service Designer roles at London Borough of Hounslow and Jaguar Land Rover, as well as a Communities and Prevention Officer position at Surrey County Council, where Nick led projects for digital community collaboration and social care improvement. As a co-founder of Designers of Change and the Cape Town Biomimicry Network, Nick has advocated for community-based design and innovation inspired by nature. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Service Design from the Royal College of Art, alongside various qualifications in project management and accounting.
