Ryan Calhoun

VP, Strategy & Care Integration at Connecticut Childrens Medical Center

Ryan Calhoun joined Connecticut Children’s in 2017 and is responsible for leading strategic planning, care coordination operations, value based care, population health and physician alignment initiatives for the health system. He is one of the leaders of the Center for Well-Being and Care Integration

Prior to joining Connecticut Children’s, Ryan spent three years at Children’s Hospital Colorado, one of the top ranked children’s hospitals in the nation. Ryan completed his administrative fellowship at the hospital and then was a strategy and planning consultant. Prior to joining Children’s Hospital Colorado, Ryan worked as the Manager of Product Development and Implementation at Citra Health Solutions, a healthcare service and technology company that supports accountable care organizations (ACOs). During his tenure, Ryan oversaw the managed care programs for multiple ACO clients.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. He served as broadcast journalist for four years before returning to school to earn his Master of Business Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Florida.
