Esther Makaay

Esther Makaay serves as the VP of Digital Identity at Signicat since 2017, where collaboration on two EU Digital Identity Wallet Large Scale Pilots (EWC and NOBID) takes place. Esther has been an Advisory Board Member for the IDnext association since 2012, contributing to the advancement and awareness of digital identity. Involved with the LIGHTest Project from 2017 to 2020, Esther supported the development of a global trust infrastructure for electronic transactions. Prior experience includes roles as a Business & eID Analyst/Architect at SIDN and a board member at Stichting Glazenkamp. From 1997 to 2007, various positions were held at InterNLnet. Esther's education includes a Master of Science in IT/Enterprise Architecture from Radboud University and studies at ArtEZ University of the Arts.
