INTRODUCTION

The marketing function at Connector Subsea Solutions is seeking a Digital Marketing Executive responsible for growth and development of all social media, website and general digital marketing activities.

The successful candidate will be empowered to take ownership of digital marketing platforms, assets, tools, content, projects and campaigns. The individual will play a key role increasing the breadth and quality of overall digital marketing activity to enhance the brand identity, awareness and messaging to our audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Social media management
    • Managing existing social media profiles and launching new profiles on other platforms
    • Regularly updating the social media calendar for long-term planning of posts to launch
    • Working with sales teams/engineers/project managers to establish and curate content
    • Capturing content (photos/videos) and editing with Adobe Creative Cloud programmes
    • Translating technical information into compelling posts through creative copywriting
    • Briefing the graphics designer for new content and managing their workload
    • Launching targeted posts via paid ads to grow followers amongst key demographics
    • Owning the social media dashboard to track KPIs and gain performance insights
    • Developing the social media strategy driven by insights, trends and marketing objectives
  • Website management
    • Managing the development of the existing website
    • Copywriting and uploading new, engaging content including news stories, case studies, product pages, upcoming events, blog posts etc.
    • Enhancing the website with new pages and improving the user interface/experience
    • Complete review of website SEO and implementation to improve search engine rankings
    • Conducting keyword research and optimising website content accordingly
    • Tracking website performance using Google Analytics to develop improvement strategies
    • Developing and implementing PPC campaign strategies to target keywords and audiences
  • Email marketing development
    • Strategy development and implementation for email marketing activities
  • Alternative online channel marketing development - PR, podcasts, forums etc.
    • Researching opportunities for alternative online promotion channels and plans for activation
  • Core digital content creation
    • Key role in creating our core digital assets including 3D marketing animations working with the 3D animator, videos, case studies, datasheets etc.
  • Internal communications development
    • Establish a medium for regular and effective internal communication highlighting key business activities and promoting company culture
  • Ad-hoc marketing support
    • Support for other projects as required by the Marketing Specialist including offline marketing

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

  • At least 3 years hands-on experience gained through employment in a digital marketing role

  • Proficient with MS Office applications in particular Excel to create dashboards and manipulate data

  • Good understanding of social media platforms and current trends

  • Good ability using content management systems (WordPress is desired)

  • Experience using website analytics, PPC and paid social media advertising is an advantage

  • Some familiarity using Adobe Creative Cloud programmes, particularly Photoshop, is an advantage

GENERAL

  • Salary £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
  • The role is office based
  • Travel abroad may be required
