Tonie de Vries

Tonie de Vries has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Tonie is currently working at Connexa Limited as a Business Intelligence & Technology professional since 2022. Previously, they worked at Telecom New Zealand from 2012 to 2022, where they held roles as a RAN Solution Design Architect and an IoT Capability specialist. Before that, Tonie worked at Nokia Siemens Networks from 2005 to 2012 as a Radio Sales Solution Manager and a Radio Solution Manager. Tonie started their career at Ericsson in 1998, where they worked as a Solution Manager and a Solutions Manager until 2005. Tonie also worked at Telecom New Zealand as a Radio Engineer from 1995 to 1999.

Tonie de Vries attended the University of Canterbury from 1988 to 2001. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with First Class Honours in 2001. Their field of study was Engineering. Additionally, from 1998 to 2001, they pursued another degree at the same university, achieving First Class Honours in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
