Joseph Tsai

Joseph Tsai is Vice Chairman of Cathay United Bank. Since joining Cathay United Bank in 2015, Mr. Tsai has led the development of long-term strategy, organizational transformation and new business development. Most recently, Mr. Tsai has also been responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives both at Cathay United Bank as well as across all subsidiaries of Cathay Financial Holdings. Mr. Tsai joined Cathay Life Insurance in 2005 and Cathay Financial Holdings in 2011. He is a member of the Operating Committee of Cathay Financial Holdings and serves as a Director of Cathay Life Insurance and Conning Holdings Limited. He has also worked at Goldman Sachs and Wilmer Hale. Mr. Tsai received an AB from Harvard College and a JD from Georgetown University.
