Carol Lau, CIM®, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Carol started their career as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia in 2008. Carol then worked as a Coordinator of Operations at Burrard Pacific Realty & Management Inc. from 2010 to 2011. Carol subsequently joined Lazar Equities as a Coordinator of Accounting from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant at SMITHS IP until 2015. Following that, they joined Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) in 2015 and held multiple positions, including Legal Administrative Assistant and Compliance Analyst. Most recently, they have been serving as a Compliance Manager, overseeing Multi-Asset Institutional Portfolios at Connor, Clark & Lunn (Canada) Ltd. and as a Compliance Manager at CC&L. Carol Lau's work experience showcases their ability to take on different roles and responsibilities within the legal and financial sectors.

Carol Lau, CIM®, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Clinical Psychology from The University of British Columbia, completing their studies between 2005 and 2009. Carol then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations Management at McGill University, which they obtained in 2012. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Canadian Securities Course® from the Canadian Securities Institute in November 2016. Carol further acquired the Officers', Partners', and Directors' Course from The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) in November 2017. Carol took the Chief Compliance Officers Qualifying Exam from the Canadian Securities Institute in December 2018. In December 2019, they completed the Investment Management Techniques® course, also offered by the Canadian Securities Institute. Carol'smost recent certifications include Portfolio Management Techniques®, which they obtained in December 2020, and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute in January 2021.
