Drummond Simpson

Drummond Simpson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in finance and operations. Drummond is currently the Managing Director of Global Finance Operations at Connor since May 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Global Director of Governance & Operations at Schneider Electric from July 2018 to May 2020. Before that, they served as Senior Manager of License Compliance at Dolby Laboratories from September 2014 to June 2018.

Drummond also gained experience in license management at Adobe Systems Europe from June 2013 to August 2014 and as the Head of License Compliance & Anti Piracy for Sub Saharan Africa & Israel at Adobe Systems from July 2010 to June 2013. Drummond also held the role of Chairman of the South Africa Committee at the Business Software Alliance from January 2012 to February 2013.

Prior to their roles at Adobe, Drummond worked at IBM in various capacities. Drummond served as the Senior License Compliance Manager for Sub Saharan Africa from July 2009 to June 2010 and as the CFO of the Software Group for Sub Saharan Africa from October 2008 to June 2009. Drummond also held the position of CFO of Global Technology Services from September 2006 to September 2008, Sales & Distribution CFO from November 2005 to September 2006, EMEA Forecast Co-ordinator from July 2004 to October 2005, and EMEA Sector Finance from January 2003 to June 2005.

Before their tenure at IBM, Drummond worked at IBM UK in various finance roles from June 1999 to December 2002. Their career began as a Management Accountant at USC Europe in 1998.

Drummond Simpson has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Business Management and Accounting from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Drummond is also a member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, holding the qualifications of FCMA and CGMA.
