Christopher Harkins

Chris Harkins currently serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC, where responsibilities include managing the Y-12 National Security Complex and the Pantex Plant in alignment with the National Nuclear Security Administration. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Technical Advisor for N3B Los Alamos, Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, and Director of Nuclear Test Engineering at Newport News Shipbuilding. Harkins held senior leadership positions in the US Submarine Force, including Commodore of Submarine Squadron 20 and Commanding Officer of USS Montpelier. Additional significant roles include Chief of Operations/Plans Division on the Joint Staff and Program Manager for the US Joint Forces Command. Harkins holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an Executive MBA from Auburn University, along with training from the Navy Command Leadership School and the U.S. Naval War College.
