Biraj Subedi, P.E. has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. From December 2016 to June 2018, they worked as a Civil Engineer at Swachhanda Nirman Sewa, where they focused on designing and analyzing structures, estimation and costing, and preparing reports. From August 2018 to July 2020, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Wyoming Driving Simulation Laboratory, conducting research on the Wyoming Department of Transportation's Connected Vehicle Pilot Program. This involved developing a driving simulator environment, collecting data on participants, and analyzing distraction introduced by in-vehicle HMI using an eye tracking system. Since July 2020, they have been working at CONSOR Engineers as a Water Resources Engineer, specializing in drainage design and hydrological analysis, as well as providing oversite during construction for trenchless design and engineering projects.
Biraj Subedi, P.E. completed a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of Wyoming, graduating in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Kathmandu Engineering College, completing their studies in 2016.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Biraj has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Biraj became a Certified PACP/LACP/MACP Professional through NASSCO, Inc. in April 2021. Biraj completed the ArcGIS Essential Training and Learning Civil 3D courses through LinkedIn in October 2020 and June 2020, respectively. Biraj also earned the Engineer In Training certification from the Wyoming Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors in January 2020. Prior to that, they obtained the Civil Engineer certification from the Nepal Engineering Council in November 2016.
