Debarshi Ray

Debarshi Ray has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the manufacturing and printing industries. Debarshi is currently the Executive Director and Vice President of Operations, India at Constantia Flexibles, where they oversee 11 plants and manages a workforce of 2200 staff members. Prior to this, Ray served as the Unit Head at Amcor Baroda Hub, where they successfully set up a Greenfield project and led the transition from the project phase to commercial volume ramp-up. Debarshi also served as the Operation Director in Amcor Flexible Indonesia and Operations Transformation Manager for Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific, where they drove operational excellence and turned around the business in Indonesia. Additionally, Ray has experience as a Regional Continuous Improvement Champion and Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner at Amcor, where they led continuous improvement initiatives across multiple plants in Asia. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Management Consultant at EURO SME SDN BHD, where they focused on driving continuous improvement and implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Ray also held leadership positions at Paharpur 3P and Times Printers Pte Ltd, where they led quality assurance and process improvement efforts. Debarshi began their career as an Assistant Engineer at ABP Ltd, gaining exposure to various technical functions in manufacturing. Throughout their career, Ray has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on operational efficiency, quality management, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Debarshi Ray completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engg) degree from Jadavpur University in 1996. Debarshi then pursued Six Sigma training and obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality. In 2007, they further enhanced their Six Sigma skills by completing a Six Sigma Black Belt course at the Singapore Quality Institute. Debarshi also obtained additional certifications including a Certified Quality Manager (CQM) from the Singapore Quality Institute and another Six Sigma Black Belt certification from ASQ.
