Ashlesh Sheth

Ashlesh Sheth has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with roles in various companies. Most recently, they served as the Sr Director of Drug Product Development/Tech Ops at Constellation Pharmaceuticals since May 2020. In this role, they were responsible for the design and development of oral products and manufacturing processes, as well as selecting CDMOs and managing the development and manufacturing of clinical trial materials.

Before joining Constellation Pharmaceuticals, Ashlesh was the Sr Director of Drug Product Development/Tech Ops at Esperion - The Lipid Management Company from April to November 2019. Prior to that, they were the Sr Director of External Manufacturing at Akebia Therapeutics (formerly Keryx Biopharmaceuticals) from October 2017 to April 2019, where they oversaw the contract manufacturing team, selected CDMOs, and facilitated business contracts.

Ashlesh'sprevious experience includes roles such as Director of Pharmaceutical Development, Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shire from June 2015 to September 2017, where they managed the development and manufacture of drug substance and drug formulation, and Director of Formulation R&D at MonoSol Rx in 2014, where they led all aspects of pharmaceutical development of oral thin films.

Ashlesh also worked at Merck (legacy Schering-Plough) as the Director of Pharmaceutical Sciences from December 2005 to November 2013, where they managed product development activities across two sites and collaborated with CDMOs for outsourced R&D/manufacturing activities. Before that, they were an Associate Research Fellow in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Pfizer (legacy Parke-Davis/Warner Lambert) from November 1996 to December 2005, leading formulators and analysts developing drug delivery systems. Ashlesh started their career at Bayer (legacy Sterling Health) as a Senior Research Scientist from September 1991 to November 1996, where they gained experience in the development of conventional and controlled release drug delivery systems.

Throughout their career, Ashlesh has demonstrated expertise in drug product development, technology operations, manufacturing, and outsourcing.

Ashlesh Sheth has a strong educational background with a focus on Integrated Management and Pharmaceutics. In 1991, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutics from St. John's University. Ashlesh later pursued further education in business, completing an MBA in Integrated Management at Michigan State University from 2003 to 2004.
