Amit Purohit

Amit Purohit has worked in various roles throughout their career. Amit began their career in 2005 as an Operations and Maintenance Engineer at Mahanagar Gas Limited in Mumbai. Amit then worked as a Purchase Engineer at Batliboi Ltd in 2006. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at Saint-Gobain Abrasives, first as a Materials Officer and later as a Materials Engineer. In 2011, they joined APM Terminals as a Sr. Executive Materials. Starting in 2012, Amit joined Consus Global, where they held multiple roles, including Consultant-Strategic Sourcing, Sr. Consultant-Strategic Sourcing, and Principal Consultant-Strategic Sourcing. In 2016, they briefly worked as a Principal Consultant-Strategic Sourcing at Consus Third Pillar Inc. Currently, Amit is employed at Consus Global as the Director of Strategic Sourcing for the USA region. Amit has held various positions within the Strategic Sourcing field, managing programs and providing expertise in spend analysis, category management, vendor sourcing, and cost savings initiatives.

Amit Purohit completed their education at various institutions. In 2001, they attended Government Engineering College, Almora, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering until 2005. Amit then took a break from education and resumed their studies in 2009 at the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. Here, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Materials and Supply Chain-CDL in 2010. Lastly, in 2020, Amit attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where they obtained a Certification Program in Customer Service Strategy.
