Alexander Holbreich

Head of Engineering at Container xChange

Alexander Holbreich is the Head of Engineering at Container xChange. Alexander has over fifteen years of experience in IT and has worked as an architect, full stack developer, and DevOps practitioner. Alexander has also coached and led teams of developers.

Holbreich began their career in 2005 as a consultant with Lufthansa Systems. In this role, they consulted on various projects and also served as a lead developer on a number of Java EE applications. Alexander then moved to LINK Mobility GmbH in 2014, where they took on the role of full stack developer and DevOps coach. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of developers through an agile transformation process. Alexander also helped to develop a number of REST APIs and web applications using AngularJS. In 2018, they left LINK Mobility to join HanseCom Public Transport Ticketing Solutions GmbH as an IT architect. In this role, they served as a team coach and led the company's DevOps practice. Alexander also helped to evangelize the use of Full Stack and High Performance Teams within the company. Alexander left HanseCom in 2021 to join Container xChange as Head of Engineering.

Alexander Holbreich has a diploma in Business Information Systems from the University of Hamburg. Alexander is also certified by the Scrum Alliance as a Certified ScrumMaster.
