Mark Saunders

Mark Saunders has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Mark currently works as a Principal Consultant / Technical Manager at Content Bloom Inc., where they assist clients in the Credit Solutions and Investment Banking domain as well as clients in HR & people development. Mark'srole involves activities such as architecture consultancy, business/process consultancy, installations and upgrades of various software, code/implementation reviews, and bespoke UI/workflow customizations.

Prior to Content Bloom Inc., Saunders worked at Amaze Europe as a Technical Director - Lexus Europe Account. During their time there, they took on wider responsibilities for account technical management and mentored others. Mark also had a role as a Technical Solutions Architect at Amaze Europe.

Before their time at Amaze Europe, Saunders worked at Kudos as a CMS/Database Developer. Mark'sresponsibilities included providing consultancy on Content Management Systems, implementing and training in various CMS platforms, and negotiating functional and technical specifications for IT solutions. Mark also developed internal web-based systems, including a project management/timesheet application.

Saunders also has experience working at Sheffield Hallam University as a Teaching Company Associate and at the European University Institute as a User-support Technician.

Mark Saunders attended Sheffield Hallam University from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued an MPhil degree in "An evaluation of the application of the Unified Modeling Language for User Interaction Design." Prior to that, from 1995 to 1999, they studied Computing in Business and obtained a BA (Hons.) degree from The University of Huddersfield. In 1997 to 1998, they also briefly attended the European University Institute, although no degree or field of study information is available for that period.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Mark Saunders has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the TOGAF® Certification Program from The Open Group, which they obtained in September 2022. Mark also holds a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org, acquired in December 2020. Mark has received multiple SDL (a content management system) MVP (Most Valuable Professional) certifications - one in 2018 and another in 2017. Mark is certified as an SDL Tridion 2013 Architect and SDL Tridion 2013 Developer, obtained in November 2015 and January 2015, respectively. Finally, Mark Saunders obtained an MSSQL Technical Specialist certification from Microsoft in 2010, although the exact month is not specified.
