Lindsay Ruis has held a variety of roles in the past decade. In 2009, they were a Musical Production Assistant & Project Leader at Olbe Theaterproducties | Theater Terra | lef! theater. In 2011, they were an Account Manager at Groupon Nederland and a Graduate Intern at Royal Dutch Shell, where they completed a Master Thesis on successful knowledge transfer and the role of trust and control in joint ventures. In 2012, they were a Change Management Consultant at Deloitte, working on the Fiber Upgrade program for KPN Telecom. From 2015 to 2018, they were an Operations Manager at B. Building Business, handling and selecting incoming office and desk requests, providing tours, and managing contracts for new members. In 2017, they were a Freelancer 3D tours at Ímovelem3D. Finally, from 2018 to 2019, they were a Team Lead Customer Success and Senior Customer Success Manager at Contentoo, an all-in-one platform for the creation and performance of content.

Lindsay Ruis began their educational journey at Gymnasium Haganum, where they studied from 1999 to 2006. Lindsay then attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor in Social Sciences; Administration and Organization. Lindsay continued their studies at VU Amsterdam from 2010 to 2011, earning a Master's degree in Business Administration - Management Consulting. From 2009 to 2010, they took a Spanish Language course at the University of Amsterdam. Lindsay also took an intermediate level Portuguese language course at Berlitz Language School in 2017 and an intermediate level Spanish language course at Amauta Spanish Language School, Buenos Aires in 2010. In 2017, they also took courses in audiovisual production for web, SEO, WordPress, and social media marketing strategies at São Paulo Digital School.
