Simon Colley

Vice President/General Manager, Immutably™ Platform Products at ContextLabs

Simon Colley has a long and varied work experience. Simon started their career in 1997 as a Science Teacher at Vaucluse High School. In 1998, they became a Program Manager, Course Director, Staff Trainer, and Lead Instructor at Outward Bound USA. In 1999, they became an Educator and Curriculum Designer at Shackleton Schools. From 1994 to 2008, they worked in the Tall Ships Industry as a Captain, Deck Officer, and Scientist, running adventure-based experiential programs aboard traditional sailing ships on ocean voyages with participants ranging from convicted youth offenders to business school students. In 2008, they became the Director of Operations and Senior Captain at the Bermuda Sloop Foundation. In 2013, they became the Vice President of Program Operations at Fullbridge. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Vice President of Product Strategy at Context Labs BV. From 2015 to the present, they have been a Founding Partner at TRUSTlabs. In 2022, they will become the Vice President/General Manager of Immutably\u2122 Platform Products at Context Labs BV.

Simon Colley has a diverse educational background. Simon holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from MIT Sloan School of Management with a focus on Innovation and Global Leadership, Sloan Fellow. Simon also holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from Western Sydney University, with a focus on Learning and Teaching, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from James Cook University with a focus on Marine Science. Additionally, they cross-registered as a student at Harvard Business School while at MIT, and studied Graduate Studies in Management at Harvard Extension School. Simon also completed an Exchange Year at the University of Miami, where they studied Marine Science. Colley also holds certifications from the U.S. Coast Guard, PADI, LeaderFactor, and Wilderness Medical Associates International.
