Gary Shaffer

Gary Shaffer is an experienced safety management professional with a comprehensive background in health, safety, and environmental compliance. Currently serving as the Safety Manager at Continental Cement Co since September 2020, Gary manages MSHA compliance and workers' compensation claims while overseeing safety teams and site projects. As the owner of Shaffer Health Safety & Environmental since June 2015, Gary utilizes strong leadership and training skills to promote a zero-incident workplace through effective communication and management strategies. Previously, Gary held key safety and health roles, including Safety & Health Manager at Buzzi Unicem USA and Director of Safety & People Development at Savage Services, where responsibilities encompassed developing safety programs, employee training, and regulatory compliance. Gary's educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University.
