Ann Germany

Ann Germany is the current Senior Vice President of Finance at Contrast Security. Ann has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Ann began their career as a staff accountant at Ernst & Young. Ann then became the assistant controller at BRIDGE Housing Corporation. In 2008, they became the controller at Bridgepoint.

In 2014, Ann became the corporate controller and director of finance at DNAnexus. In this role, they were responsible for establishing the finance and accounting organization and hiring a team to support rapid revenue and headcount growth. Ann was also engaged in multiple venture funding rounds, debt restructures, and 409a valuations. Ann led a cross-functional team to build the company’s first data mart, enabling the processing of millions of weekly Amazon Web Services (AWS cloud) transactions in support of finance and operations. Ann established financial forecasting and operational budgets; weekly reporting of platform sales; and platform operations to support sales cycle. Ann improved month end close cycle by 75% and accelerated monthly customer billings cycle 5X. Ann achieved successful audits with no adjustments.

In May 2016, Ann joined Contrast Security as the Vice President of Finance.

Ann Germany has a BBA from the Texas McCombs School of Business in Accounting, Finance, and Economics. Ann also has a Certificate of Completion in Economics of European Union Integration from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Ann is also certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the California Board of Accountancy, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, and the California CPA Education Foundation in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
