Job description

Control Risks is currently looking to hire a Data Analyst to support a global banking client. Working as part of an established Global Security Operations Centre, the Data Analyst will conduct data analysis to support decision making and improve performance.

Please note that this role is scheduled to commence employment on 1st July 2024.

Role tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design and define metrics related to the operational performance of the GSOC.
  • Build and maintain data infrastructure, conduct data interrogation, troubleshooting or other data consulting work, manage data access, and establish a single source of truth for management.
  • Identify, extract, transform and aggregate data from repository systems and structured databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2, etc.) into a central data repository to support performance reports, run analyses, and collect Root Cause Analysis feedback.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through the data cleansing and validation process.
  • Create and design data queries to identify and understand relationships between multiple or disparate data sources.
  • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative data analysis methodologies to discover or uncover meaningful trends and behaviours, and to optimize operational efficiencies across GSOC processes.
  • Develop bespoke scripts to support analysis of prioritized risk areas.
  • Identify issue areas through data analysis and independently provide solutions & improvement insights to management teams.
