Luca Barbieri

Luca Barbieri, PhD, is an accomplished Research and Development Scientist with extensive experience in the medical device technology sector. Currently at Convatec since November 2019, Luca has contributed to the Front End Innovation team by designing new formulations and evaluating medical device performance using advanced analytical techniques. Prior roles include R&D Project Scientist, where complex technical challenges were addressed using materials science, and Chemical Analyst, proficient in a range of lab testing methodologies in compliance with stringent quality standards. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, complemented by MSc and BSc degrees in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
